Bangkok Muay Thai stadiums

Rajadamnern & Lumpinee

Bangkok’s entire Muay Thai world revolves around two stadiums — Rajadamnern, the historic home of the sport in old Bangkok since 1945, and Lumpinee, the prestigious, military-run venue on Ram Inthra. Both run authentic fight nights almost every night of the week. Here’s how to pick between them.

Rajadamnern Stadium

The world's oldest dedicated Muay Thai stadium.

Rajadamnern Stadium opened on 23 December 1945 and is the oldest purpose-built Muay Thai venue on the planet. For almost eighty years its ring has been the proving ground for nearly every Thai legend — from Apidej Sit-Hirun to Saenchai. A short walk from the Democracy Monument and the temples of Rattanakosin, Rajadamnern remains the spiritual centre of the sport and one of Bangkok's most authentic live experiences.

Which Bangkok stadium should I pick?

Honestly — there’s no wrong answer. Pick the night you’re free and the card that grabs you. Rajadamnern is unbeatable for history, atmosphere and location in the heart of old Bangkok — closer to most hotels, walking distance from Khao San and the temples. Lumpinee’s Saturday Super Champ shows are the city’s most modern, spectator-friendly fight night, with the most prestigious title belts in the sport. Locals go to both.
